Suns Out, Hops Out

As temperatures begin to climb and we enter the heat of Summer, the beers we enjoy become more and more refreshing and alluring. Pelican Brewing out of Pacific City, OR has just added a new summer beer to their line-up: Sun Flare – a dry-hopped pale ale that you'll only be able to get on draft or 22oz bottles but looks sure to be worth it. This 5.1% ABV ale carries a solid 45 IBUs, but still gives you the refreshing flavors you'd want to enjoy at the beach.

Sun Flare joins their already stunning beach-perfect line up including Pelicano – a Latin-inspired cerveza you can fill your cooler with and enjoy alongside tacos & salsa. Pelicano is an easy-going lager through and through (think Corona or Tecate) and is great with a slice of lime.

“Both these refreshing beers pay homage to our beach roots—we want to share the experience of the perfect, bright, sunny day at the beach in both releases,” says Pelican brewmaster Darron Welch. “Sun Flare emphasizes the bright, fruity hop flavors, while Pelicano delivers a clean lager character with subtle floral highlights.”
