The Missing Hop Released

Rogue Ales announces the release of the missing number in the HOP IPA series (so far we've had 4, 6, 7, 8) – we finally found our 5. Meet 5 HOP Black IPA, a self-described "twist" on their hop series. As you can guess, it includes 5 varieties of hops: liberty, yaguina, freedom, alluvial and rebel – hence the name. This black IPA is 5.55% ABV and has 55 IBU, making it sound like a pretty easy to drink ride.

The cool thing about Rogue is they grow all their own hops, barley, rye and even raise honey bees to make sure they control as much of their beer and spirits as possible. The point? They know beer and even better they KNOW their beer.
