Bah Bah "Black Goat" from Perrin Brewing
As blue & gold Michigan fans, we're also interested in anything coming out of the mitt State and Perrin is no exclusion. They've just announced that they're releasing their Black lager aged in bourbon barrels called Black Goat on May 15th. This bold and sweetly vanilla scented beauty also has a fruity and chocolate aftertaste that really let's the caramel-y bourbon flavors shine through.
Perrin Brewing Co is out of Comstock Park, MI so it automatically has a soft spot from us, but on top of that they form this cool trifecta with two of our other favorite breweries, Cigar City (Tampa, Fl) and Oskar Blues (Longmont, Colorado). You might remember we did an episode on Triangulation from them which was "collabrewation" between the 3 breweries.
All in all, this sounds pretty intriguing and it doesn't hurt that we've get to have a disappointing beer from them. Look for it on draught and 22oz bottles starting May 12th and 15th, respectively, in the following markets: Michigan, Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Florida, and New York City.
