The Wide World Just Got Wider
Oh Dogfish Head, how we do love thee. One of our show favorites just announced their latest release: Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout – their famous World Wide Stout that they pumped full of Madagascar vanilla and aged in oak barrels.
This delicious sounding stout comes in at 16% ABV and is perfect with (or as) a dessert. We're thinking cheesecake or molten lava cake. Although we may just pour it over ice cream and call it a day if we're really talking desserts here.
And as with most aged beers, they only get better the more patience you have. “With aging, you’ll find the heat of the booze fades into the background and the port notes and vanilla roastiness takes over,” said Sam Calagione, the CEO of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. “Grab a few bottles, enjoy one now and lay the others down for a few years.”
Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout is now making it's way across their distribution channels. Find it wherever you normally find your Dogfish Head brews or make really good friends with someone who can because you'll definitely not want to miss out on this one.
